Craig Markus was approached by the stylists from ITV's X-Factor to produce a limited edition hooded top to be worn in the live finals by RnB group JLS.
As we have part of our manufacturing done in England we were able to select the finest materials and trimmings to use on the one-off garment and ensured that the fabrics that we chose would suit the look that the group were going for with their performance.
We decided on a 'indie style' inspired hooded top made from velvet and 280g double jersey fabric on the outside with a poison green silk satin lining. We decided to use studs around the rim of the hood to give a slightly more rock and roll feel and used silver rope lacing to go round the hood.
Aston of JLS wore the garment in the finals which was watched by over 11.5 million people on ITV and ITV2. All four group members wore Craig Markus hooded top's and t-shirts from our SS09 collection on the show the following week. JLS went on to reach the finals of the competition and have since been signed to EPIC Records.
